Aid transport on its way from Frankfurt Airport to the Ukrainian-Romanian border Sighetul Maramtiei.

An articulated truck, fully loaded with 30 tons of urgently needed relief supplies, left Frankfurt Airport today for the Ukrainian-Romanian border. The transport is the start of an aid bridge, which will be continued in the coming weeks. Already over 25,000 people on the run passed this border crossing Sighetul Marmatiei last weekend. The situation is highly dramatic. On board of the truck are new winter clothes, blankets, hygiene items, diapers and a large amount of rusks and mineral water. These are basically relief goods requested by the local partner, the German Forum in the Maramures region. Many helping hands were involved in the realization of the relief transport. Special thanks go to Fraport, the Gebrüder Heinemann Hamburg, the Mainzer Ranzengarde von 1837 e.V., WEPA Mainz and many private donors. The transport was again carried out by the forwarding company Landgraf from Gensingen/Bingen. For any further transports Luftfahrt ohne Grenzen/ Wings of Help e.V. (LOG/who) is pleased for further support.
